The next meeting of the New England Programming Languages Symposium will
be in late September or early October at Sun Microsystems. The possible
dates are Monday, September 24, Friday, September 28, Monday, October 1,
Tuesday, October 2, Thursday, October 4, or Friday, October 5.
The Sun Microsystems campus is located on Network Drive in Burlington just
off the intersection of Route 3 and Route 128. By car, it is roughly thirty
minutes from Boston and Cambridge, an hour from Providence, and three
hours from Williamstown (not including rush-hour traffic). There is also a
bus (#351) from the Alewife T station that stops off at the campus.
For people wishing to stay overnight, there are a number of hotels
nearby. There should not be any problem finding accomodation for any of
the proposed dates.
In order to help determine which day we should settle on, please send me
e-mail listing your preferences in order. Just erase days that are
impossible for you. I'll look at the answers that come in by the end of
next week (July 27) and determine which day we will schedule the workshop. I
expect that we will keep to a similar schedule as with the first three
meetings: starting at around 10am (perhaps a little later), and
finishing between 4 and 5pm.
