Important Messages from the Instructors

Wednesday, February 9th, 2005

We will hold a review session for the first midterm exam on Friday, February 11th, from 4 PM until 5 PM in 335 Shillman.

We will be answering questions. If you don't have any questions, we'll just go home. If you want to gain something from the revew sessions, figure out in advance what questions you want to ask.

Starting with this assignment, Homework 4, you must submit the homework electronically. The link for the submission appears on the assignments page.

Homework not submitted electronically will not be graded.

Thanks,

Students in the 1:35 pm section of the class were sadly deprived of a lecture today by the declaration of a snow day. You will have to try to make up this material by reading the lecture notes.

See you tomorrow!

If you wish, you may submit Assignment 2 online, using the form at:

http://www.ccs.neu.edu/course/csu213/submit.html

Your submission must consist of exactly one file. This is relatively natural at this point; later in the course you will need to create an archive to submit, using tar or zip (or anything else that can easily be unpacked using standard UNIX tools).

To submit, you will need the e-mail addresses of your partners and you will need to choose a password. You may choose any password you like. It will be transmitted in plaintext, so don't choose one that's the same as, say, your ccs account. Remember your password so that you can use the same one in future submissions.

Please be careful to correctly choose the correct assignment number and TA name for your submission; making the wrong choice may mean that your assignment doesn't get graded on time, or at all.

You must press the Submit button in order to actually submit your file. You will know you've succeeded when you see the "thank you" page.

You may submit as many times as you wish before the deadline. We will grade the last submission made before the deadline.

Please let us know if there are any problems with the submission server, by sending us mail at csu213-staff@ccs.neu.edu .
