Dear Colleague:
We are still soliciting abstracts for a Programming Languages Day to be held at
the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center on Thursday, April 26, 2001. The day
will be held in cooperation with the New Jersey and New England Programming
Languages and Systems Seminars. The main goal of the event is to increase
awareness of each other's work, and to encourage interaction and collaboration.
The Programming Languages day will feature a keynote presentation and 5
regular presentations.
Tutorials or joint presentations are welcomed. We also solicit input on topics
or particular presentations that would be of interest to attendees.
Abstracts will be selected by a committee consisting of David Bacon, IBM TJ
Watson Research Center (chair); Phil Wadler, Avaya Labs (representing NJPLS);
and Assaf Kfoury, Computer Science Department, Boston University, (representing
NEPLS). Notification of accepted abstracts will be sent by March 22, 2001.
For details see http://www.research.ibm.com/compsci/plansoft/plday.html.
Sincerely,
David Bacon
