Best way to get here:
Take the train!
Parking at Brown is, predictably, a pain. In contrast, the PVD train
station is less than a ten minute drive from the Brown campus. There
is a 50c trolley service from near the station, while a cab should
cost you under $5. (It's also a pleasant 25 minute walk through the
nicer parts of town, though with a steep hill betwixt.) I'll be
putting up directions on the NEPLS Web page.
I'm sending this message this far ahead of time because, if you have
to or want to drive, it's easiest for you if I mail you a parking
decal and lot locator map. Please send me your postal address.
If you need to stay the night here, my secretary can help locate a
place for you. The University-run Inn at Brown is pleasant and on
campus, and there is of course the usual variety of cheaper and more
expensive accommodations, from Budget to Biltmore.
Any food restrictions? Other special needs or constraints?
Shriram
