I concur that the spam volume through this list is on the increase.
Moving it to a mailing list manager would help a lot. NEU already
runs one, since Mitch Wand's PL list runs through it. Therefore, it
should be relatively little effort for one of the Demeter leaders to
similarly endow this list.
Since your subject line suggests your main concern is the *ratio*,
however, another solution to this problem would be for Karl to knock
out a dozen more papers a year. (-:
