All reading assignments, listed for every day of the course, can be found on the Syllabus-Calendar page.

All written assignments must be handed in to Professor Futrelle by the beginning of class. All paper copies and emailed assignments must be labeled clearly with your name, your ID number, and the course designation (COM3315). The instructions for on-line and programming assignments will be added here later.

The first written assignment, Assignment #1 is due Tuesday April 2nd, and consists of writing out answers to questions either via email or in hardcopy. Follow this Assignment #1 link for the questions.

The second assignment, Assignment #2, is due Tuesday April 16th, and consists of developing your own simple database using simplified forms of article references you'll find in the library. Then you'll write SQLJ programs that embed SQL to search and update your database. Follow this Assignment #2 link for the details.

NEW -- The third assignment, Assignment #3, is due Tuesday April 30th, and consists of designing a database using entity-relation and/or Normalization techniques. Follow this Assignment #3 link for the details.
