Course description, from the catalogue:

COM 1370 Computer Graphics -- 4 QH

Focuses on characteristics and programming of graphics output devices. Presents basic point and line drawing, two-dimensional displays; clipping and windowing. Surveys pictures; data structures and display file organization; and interaction; graphical input and event-driven programs. Includes some three-dimensional drawing.
Prereq. COM1201 and MTH1301 (Linear Algebra 1).

Programming language and platform:
This course will use Java on the College's Unix systems. This will allow produce code and documents that can be easily handed in electronically and efficiently graded. Many of the assignments will be done using applets which display in browsers.

Computer Graphics. C Version by Donald Hearn and M. Pauline Baker (Prentice-Hall, 2nd ed. 1997)

If you need help at any time, find me in my office, call, or send email, or ask in class to set up an appointment. My office hours and normal advising hours are Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30.
On-line help:
There are links to numerous resources available on this course site. But in general, you can use google.com to find good information about any topic, from overviews to details. Google is felt by many to be the Number 1 search engine because of the powerful algorithms it uses.

Quizzes and Exams:
There will be numerous quizzes, as well as a midterm and a final. All are closed-book, no calculators.
