The NU AI-CCIS mailing list - Northeastern University

Version of 12 March 2005 (member list being update)

What it is

This mailing list is open to all Northeastern University students, faculty and staff.

It allows all members of the list to send mail to the list, which will then be archived for future reference. All members can choose to receive list mail when sent (the default) or change their options on the web-based forms provided through the link at the bottom of the mailing list "home page" at https://lists.ccs.neu.edu/bin/listinfo/ccis-ai-discuss.

How to join

There are two steps involved in joining:

  1. If you do not have an email address in the Collge, <name>&ccs.neu.edu, please send mail to myshao@ccs.neu.edu telling her that you are a Northeastern person who wishes to join the list. Or click on this link to send mail, if your mail system allows it: myshao@ccs.neu.edu

  2. Go to the page https://lists.ccs.neu.edu/bin/listinfo/ccis-ai-discuss and fill out the section entitled "Subscribing to CCIS-AI-discuss". Usually, within a period ranging from minutes to as long as one day, you will be notified that you are subscribed and given your password (which you can then change via the list's web-based interface).

How to access

The main information page for the list is at: https://lists.ccs.neu.edu/bin/listinfo/ccis-ai-discuss.

The archives are available here (worth bookmarking): https://lists.ccs.neu.edu/bin/private/ccis-ai-discuss/

The mailing list is handled by GNU Mailman which supports threads, as long as you directly reply to a previous item. Just sending a new email with the same subject line does not cause the item to be entered into the thread. The mailing list (people's email addresses) is not available, even to members. The archives themselves are open only to members of the list (using your email address as your ID and your password).
